Dermatophytes is generally caused by the infections known as Tinea infections. The only Tinea infection that is not included in this is the Tinea versicolor. The Tinea infections come from the Dermatophytes and its genera also known as the Epidermophyton, Trichophyton and the Microsporum.

When the lesions that are infected make direct contact and transmit indirectly with the articles that are infected then Dermatophytes can come and the transmission is one of the major causes of Dermatophytes.  Sometimes a hypersensitivity can come up causing the kerions to become inflammed. Hypersenitivity is found most with children that have Tinea capitis.

The lesions that come from Dermatophytosis will vary because it depends on what kind of infection and type it is. Therefore the appearance of Dermatophytosis will also change because the appearance is all reflected by the type of infection that the Dermatophytosis has.
