Initial treatments for these infections have not been established, but antifungal medicines are prescribed as the first aid. A very common remedy is an injection called Amphotericin B. Since it is very strong it is prescribed that one should take it only while suffering from severe eye infections.

It is not recommended to use contact lenses when the eyes are suffering from fungal infections. It is better to prevent these infections than curing them. Washing ones hands thoroughly and cleaning eyes with splashing them with clean water time and again are also necessary. Certain eye exercises are also recommended to facilitate blood circulation. Eyes should be cleaned after waking up from sleep. Wear sunglasses when going out in pollution.
