What Type of Medications are Used for Eye Fungus Treatment?

Initial treatments for these infections have not been established, but antifungal medicines are prescribed as the first aid. A very common remedy is an injection called Amphotericin B. Since it is very strong it is prescribed that one should take it only while suffering from severe eye infections.
Other infections like Ocular are taken care by fluconazole; this is an antifungal in tablet and/or liquid form. These antifungal may not necessarily cure other fungal infections caused due to variations of endophthalmitis. In order to treat fusarium keratitis an antifungal medication is developed called natamycin. It is important to shake the bottle and let the solution mix well. Wash your hands well and apply the necessary amount in the lower eyelid by forming a pouch and filling in the pouch

It is not recommended to use contact lenses when the eyes are suffering from fungal infections. It is better to prevent these infections than curing them. Washing ones hands thoroughly and cleaning eyes with splashing them with clean water time and again are also necessary. Certain eye exercises are also recommended to facilitate blood circulation. Eyes should be cleaned after waking up from sleep. Wear sunglasses when going out in pollution. |
