Prevention Tips For Dermatophytes

For patients that suffer with Dermatophytes there are prevention tips that you can take to help reduce the chance of Dermatophytes from coming back or getting severe.

Prevention Tips For People With Dermatophytes:

1. Use topical agents for tinea infections and watch to make sure that it is working the way it should be.

2. Patients with Tinea Capitis should wash their hands often to help with spreading it and also wash their clothes, towels and other things.

3. Pads that are abdominal should be used for people with Tinea Corporis.

4. Patients with Tinea Unguium should wear clothes that are comfortable and not night. Socks that are made from cotton should be worn and kept clean at all times.

5. Nails should be kept straight and short for patients that have Tinea Unguium.

6. All areas should be dry for patients that have Tinea Cruris.

7. The beard should always grow for patients that have Tinea Barbae.

Patients should talk with their doctor about further ways to prevent Dermatophytes and see what steps should be taken to help with the recovery and to prevent the infection from spreading to household family members and other people.
