If you are a person that is suffering from several recurring yeast infections within a year, you might want to seek a treatment that can be a little more aggressive.
There are several ways that you can help yourself and try to prevent yourself from another infection:
- Start wearing cotton panties.
- Wear loose fitting clothes.
- Avoid clothes that are made of the synthetic materials.
- Try not to wear a leotard or pantyhose on a daily basis.
- Drying your private area with a blow dryer on a cool, low setting after you get out of the shower.
After you use the toilet, be sure when you wipe that you wipe from the front to the back. This will help to stop all the bacteria that lives within your rectum from entering your vagina.
- Be sure and take off any type of damp clothing or wet bathe suit that you might have on as soon as possible.
- Do not use any type of douche, feminine hygiene spray, or deodorant tampons or sanitary pads.
- Also do not use any type of scented or colored toilet paper. This can lead to additional yeast.
So, if you have several yeast infections throughout the year, be sure and consult with your physician about a possible treatment plan.
