As pink eye can be caused by bacteria or virus attack, both have few distinct and few common symptoms. Eye infections come with certain symptoms. Easily recognizable is the redness of eye. Redness is caused due to inflammation. Pink eyes also have prominent symptoms like irritation, itchiness. Tears seem to flow constantly so as to provide relief to eye. Discharges also could be of green or yellow color and may be sticky causing the eyelid to stick together and make the discharge flow from sides.
Symptoms of Conjunctivitis are as follows:
- Eyes water with discharges
- Eyes face discomfort with itchiness.
- Even if one eye is infected it can spread to the other.
Symptoms caused due to Bacterial Conjunctivitis are as follows:
- In this Conjunctivitis eyes water with a colored discharge normally yellow or green.
- Eyes feel like itching, but one should avoid it as much as possible.
- Here also the infection starts in one eye and then spreads to other eye.
In case of conjunctivitis due to Allergies a heavy tear flow, discomfort, and itchiness which is seen affecting both the eyes equally.
