What Are The Symptoms Of Sporotrichosis?

There are some characteristics of Sporotrichosis that can be treated and noticed right away while other symptoms might be hard to spot but in time do show.

Sporotrichosis Symptoms:

- It can take months or days for Sporotrichosis to develop once the molded spores have moved inside the skin.

- A nodule also known as a bump that is firm will start to develop. It can range between being sometimes almost purple and pink. It can be tender and in most cases painless.

- After awhile the nodule can start to open up causing a ulcer that can drain some of the fluid that is clear.

- If the nodule is not treated it might remain chronic for many years.

- Over half of the cases spread and go to the lymph nodes.

- Infections might spread all over the body but that is in very rare cases.

When these symptoms occur they can sometimes become life threatening and almost impossible to treat if they are severe. When the infection has spread it usually only happens when people have a very weak immune system.
