What Is Tinea Unguium?

Tinea Unguium is also known as ringworm. There are some Tinea Unguium infections that can spread and be found on your body. This is very common for children, teens, and adult males. It is a ring shaped and red plus comes in patches that are very scaly and the centers are clear.

People can get Tinea Infections for lots of reasons. Some of the reasons include but not limited to are:

- Malnourished. When you have a bad diet and not taking care of your body you can develop ringworm.

- When the climate is warm you stand at a high chance of getting it and more so during the summer months.

- When your hygiene is poor and you are not taking care of yourself you could get ringworm.

- Sometimes if you come into contact with people or even some pets that have it you could get it because it spreads.

- If you have a weak immune system you could be vulnerable for ringworm.

With Tinea Unguium the nails usually get yellow and really thick. Treatment is needed and medications should be taken if you have Tinea Unguium. In some cases the Tinea Unguium could be severe and take months to heal.
