What Type of Treatments are used to Treat Hyperhidrosis?

There are a lot of treatments that can be used for Hyperhidrosis. It all depends on the condition and if the patient is on other medications.

Treatments For Hyperhidrosis Include:

- Anticholinergic drugs
- Beta Blockers
- Benzodiazepines
- Antiperspirants
- Botox
- Iontophoresis
- Endoscopic theoracic sympathectomy
- sympathectomy
- oxybutymin
- oral propantheline
- Botulinum injections
- Antiperspirants
- hydrocortisone cream

Some medications do include the common side effects such as: dizziness, urination problems and dry mouth. When any side effects happen the doctor should be notified right away. In only severe cases of Hyperhidrosis sympathectomy is used for treatment but not often.  If any injections is provided for treatment sometimes local anaesthesia is used for pain.  Antiperspirant  can come with roll-ons, sticks and sprays and should only be used with dry skin after having a shower before going to bed. Before treatment is provided the doctor should be notified if the patient is using any other medications or pills for something else including herbal supplements.
