What Type of Treatments are there for Athletes Foot?

Treating athlete’s foot can be very simple, not complicated, and usually can be done at the comfort of your own home.

Topical antifungal medication can help to treat all the scaly and dry areas of athlete’s foot.  If you are searching for a antifungal cream you can try Lotrimin, Lamisil, or Miconazole.  Some of these creams can be purchased over the counter, while others require a prescription from your physician.

If the condition of you case of athlete’s foot is severe, then a prescribed oral antifungal cream can be required such as Itraconazole, grisofulvin, terbinafine, or Sporanox.

Some of these medications might have side effects such as a rash might occur.  If so be sure and seek medical attention as soon as you can.

At times your physician might recommend that you soak your feet for at least twenty minutes, twice a day in a certain solution with aluminum subacetate.
